Hospitality and Hotel Jobs: The majority of jobs in this field fall under service worker; that includes bartenders, maids and housekeepers, landscapers and waiters and waitresses.

Education: In general, these positions merely require a high school diploma. With a college degree or specialized training, there are opportunities in more specialized fields, and with that a higher pay rate.

Scope: Counter and rental clerks held 451,000 jobs in 2004. About 23 percent of clerks worked in consumer goods rental, which includes video rental stores. Other large employers included drycleaning and laundry services; automotive equipment rental and leasing services; automobile dealers; amusement, gambling, and recreation industries; and grocery stores.
