UPS Is NOT the great company everyone thinks it is anyway. The pay for drivers, etc. may be good BUT
management abuses the hell out of employees there. Plus, they hire a lot of scabs to take work away from company employees. When union employees contracts are up then they offer a lesser package 7 tell everyone It is BETTER
than the last. They lie right to your face & lack any kind of Integrity.

Me Me

As a brief reminder for those who forgot or for many that didn't know

Here is what happened, quietly, on January 1, 2015:
Medicare tax went from 1.45% to 2.35%
Top Income tax bracket went from 35% to 39.6%
Top Income payroll tax went from 37.4% to 52.2%
Capital Gains tax went from 15% to 28%
Dividend tax went from 15% to 39.6%
Estate tax went from 0% to 55%

A 3.5% Real Estate transaction tax was added.
Remember this fact:
These taxes were all passed solely with Democrat votes.
Not a single Republican voted for these new taxes.
These taxes were all passed in the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare
If you think that it is important that everyone in the U.S. should know this.
There are many millions who don't yet, then pass it on.

Welcome to the so-called "recovery" after the 2008 recession. Look at the great jobs that are available!

1. UnitedHealth Group - You can be a customer service rep making a whopping $10-$11 an hour. Imagine a job where you can answer phones all day dealing with customer concerns, complaints and client issues! Yep. Great times.

2. Brookdale Senior Living - $8-$11 an hour caregiving jobs! Oh, boy! Abuse from management, being taken advantage of, doing the work of several people if your area becomes understaffed. No opportunities for advancement, few benefits if any, crummy health insurance too. Yep.

3. Firestone - $8-$10 an hour jobs selling or installing tires. Maybe if you're real lucky you can get $12 an hour if a management position is available.

4. UPS - While the wage for package handlers has increased to $10 an hour, ask yourself if you can truly afford to live on that. Most of the positions are also part-time with no benefits.

5. The Vitamin Shoppe - $8-$10 an hour low-wage part-time retail jobs.

6. Catholic Health Initiatives - Unless you go into nursing (which is not recommended due to the constant bullying, high stress, and having to wear many hats due to understaffing), the rest of the jobs are few and far between. The majority of the jobs are low-wage clerical or processor jobs.

7. Chipotle - More part-time $8-$10 an hour fast food work.

8. Hilton - $9-$11 an hour front desk or housekeeping work.

9. Enterprise - $10-$11 an hour front desk positions where you can answer phones, do customer service and even clean cars. Wow!

10. Bankers Life & Casualty - Selling insurance for commission only and no benefits. Great opportunity!

So give that associates degree you might have gotten in a field like medical lab technician or that MBA in Business Administration a pitch in the trash and try out for one of these great low-paying no-future jobs.

Happy 4th of July everyone - be sure to thank your fat cat politicians for making your freedom to live in poverty a reality!

At the end of this article, AOL says "Reviews may have been edited for clarity." ?? ?? How about the clarity in the UPS writeup, where it says, "The company employs approximately 350,000 in the United States, ... It's begun gearing up for holiday deliveries with the hiring of seasonal employees, ..."
REALLY? UPS has begun gearing up for - what holiday??? At the end of April?
Could it be, May Day? Cinco de mayo? Decoration .Day? Samhain?

Low paying jobs and no jobs for those of use over age 50! My friend, who has a Master's degree worked two low wage part time jobs because she searched for three years without finding anything and she is a whooping 46 years old! Maybe the administration and their croonies would lile to swap their salaries and take these!

Just take your car to Firestone for one of their low-ball oil changes and have a 3 year old car with 21,000 miles and wait for the $900.00 estimate of extensive/ necessary repairs indicated on the unsolicited inspection of the car.
They took twice as long to inspect the car as they did changing the oil. BTW, I know front ends and did also take this vehicle to a garage for confirmation of necessary work. What a joke !
