Of the 'Top 10 Best Big Cities for Employment,' 5 are Found in the Lone Star State.

In the latest version of cities that provide the best opportunities for employment, Forbes features five top cities in the state of Texas. The No. 1 city, Austin, saw tremendous growth in service sectors like education and health care, leisure and hospitality. Michael Shires, associate professor in public policy at Pepperdine University, and Joel Kotkin, a Forbes weekly columnist and presidential fellow in urban futures at Chapman University compiled the list, basing their study on 33 regions -- called Metropolitan Statistical Areas by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
