What no one will tell you about Medical coding and billing is that you won't be able to find a job without experience and you can't get experience without a job.!!!!!!
I went to a GOOD (nationally recognized), top grades, took my certification exam 98% score, personally knew many doctors and their office staff from 10 years of working for a dr only answering service and still can't find a job in coding an billing although I'm certainly still paying off the credit card bill for the tuition. couldn't get financial aid since I went to a legitimate school (their words not mine!!!) instead of a trade or vocational school that would have cost me 10 times as much!!!!
