I applied for seasonal work at Radio Shack and the interviewer who was the regional manager was very rude and condescending. Have not shopped at Radio Shack since.
ReplyMy husband has worked for UPS for 5 years and he has only driven 1 day a week this past month. I do know that the big companies such as Hilton and AT&T are cutting costs by hiring home workers. Cable/phone and hotel companies usually hire home workers for customer service. Also, the TV shopping shows hire homeworkers to take calls. You just know how to find these jobs. ( tr.im/BRIk ) has a FREE list of hundreds of LEGITIMATE work at home jobs offered by well known companies. These jobs do NOT cost you money. They are employment positions. You will need to cut and paste the above link for it to work. Good luck to all that are looking for employment.
IF a UPS center hires they will hire driver helpers, not drivers and it's only for a few weeks. Cable shopping shows are slammed this time of the year and need definitely homeworkers to work the phones. They make more than UPS driver helpers. I worked for HSN at one time. Go here ( tr.im/BRIk )for a list of companies hiring.
Apologies if this post comes up twice. If a UPS center does hire it will NOT be for a driver. It will be for a driver helper and only for a few weeks. Like I said, my husband has been a part time driver for years and is not driving. He still hasn't made it to a full time position. Cable shopping shows are hiring for people to work from home. They are slammed this time of year and they make more than the UPS driver helpers. I know because I worked for HSN at one time. Go here ( tr.im/BRIk ) for a free list of companies hiring home workers.
ReplyThe problem with this is that it pays low wages and once the season is over, so is the job. If you have a full time job already and are looking for something on the side, this would be fine but this won't come close to cutting it for a f/t job to pay bills plus Christmas expenses. You would be lucky to even get f/t from a retail store anymore.
ReplyI lost my job last December. It was the first time in my life that I was unemployed. We have 3 young children and I can't even begin to describe the feeling I had knowing that I had no income and couldn't find a job. A friend of mine told me that he was doing well working full time on an internet based home business. He told me that there were hundreds of thousands of people making a full time living that way. That was all well and good but I didn't have any money to invest and I knew I didn't have the skills that would be needed. He sent me this link to this web site ( tr.im/homebizsuccess ) and told me to check out this system. It wasn't a pyramid scheme or a get rich quick scam. It was my Christmas miracle because with virtually no investment I got in the game. Now I'm making much more money than I ever have and, believe it or not, I'm now working less time everyday than I used to spend commuting back and forth to my old job.
I never thought working from home was possible. I used to be a complete beginner to making cash online, and this Online Cash success Kit on this web site (tr.im/onlinecashsuccesskit) has permitted me to make $100 every day working part time. I am 68 years of age and earning money with this Online Cash success Kit , If I can do it, anyone can...
Any job, even one for low pay and short term, is better than no job. It could get your foot in the door, or you could meet someone who is impressed by your people skills and land a job elsewhere.
Tena,
ReplyYou would think so but that's just not reality anymore. They use you up and kick you out when the season is over no matter how wonderful of an employee you were. If they are impressed with your people skills, usually, the mgr. will see you as a threat. (I find this to be true with women bosses, and yes, I am a woman also so please don't come jumping down my throat for making this comment, I'm just stating what I have experienced) They want the lines down, customers to spend, spend, spend and then get out..they don't like the browsers. They really don't care about your people skills, they just want another warm body at the registers. I wish it could be like Tena stated but sadly, it rarely ever is anymore.
