Students Arrested For Putting Rat Poison In Teacher's Water Bottle
Young offenders were nine and twelve years old
The two boys, who have been charged with reckless endangerment, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, were students at Brooklyn's PS 315.
After becoming nauseous, another student told the teacher that two kids had put poison in her bottle. She sought treatment from a doctor, who determined that she was not seriously injured. The next day she reported what had happened to police officers at the 70th Precinct station house.
It was not clear what motivated the students.

PS 315 is also known as the School of Performing Arts, and is well-liked by the teachers that work there, the New York Post reported. "My school is an excellent environment for learning," one teacher posted on greatschools.org. "We are well into the 21st century and have Smart Boards, document cameras, desktops, and laptops available in all classrooms."
This is not the first incident of poisoning at a school this year. Earlier this month in England, two 10-year-olds, part of a group calling themselves "The Mafia," poured a bleach-like substance into their teacher's coffee cup. That time, the teacher was warned by another student before she was able to take a sip.
