Bronx Principal Emmanuel Polanco Under Fire For Sexy Rap Videos

Principal Gets Bad Rap Over Sexy Music Videos

Lots of workers have hobbies that they pursue in their off-hours, but if their side passions are at odds with their day job, they can find themselves in big trouble. Case in point: Emmanuel Polanco, a Bronx junior high school principal who appears in videos as a rapper called "El Siki."

Polanco, 30, earns $127,115 a year as principal of Junior High School 80, according to N.Y.'s Daily News. But at some point, he was pursuing a career as a rapper named "El Siki" and appeared in videos in which he made sexy moves, ordered champagne and cavorted with busty blonde babes. When word spread through the school of his Internet videos, parents were upset. "Someone has to hold this guy accountable," Cecilia Donovan, mother of a student in Polanco's school, told the Daily News. "It's ridiculous what he's doing there."

The Daily News obtained copies of the videos and reported that in a Spanish-language music video for a song called "El Metele," Polanco is shown drinking and cavorting with a young woman in bed. "Come here, press against me. I'm giving up control, you go crazy," he raps in Spanish, the Daily News reports. The video is no longer accessible on YouTube.

A spokesperson for the Department of Education told the newspaper that the agency "takes parents' concerns seriously" and is investigating.

As the Internet has made it easier than ever for students to uncover educators' past, many professionals have found themselves under fire. Tiffani Webb had been a guidance counselor in New York City for 12 years when scantily-clad photos from her past modeling career surfaced; she was fired days before getting tenure. Webb said the photos floating around the internet had been digitally altered and distributed without authorization. She has filed suit.

So now....ANY activity outside of a paying job can be used against someone to ruin their life and career? When is all of this craziness going to stop?

Its the new Obama culture. "Yo Yo We be teachin wit rap". He must be good, making almost $130K, and pursuing his rap career with young high school girls. Im sure his school will turn out some great rap stars, and lots of people good at filling out Welfare applications. Too bad about math skills...

We have gotten so far away from common sense and basics, that even our schools have been dragged down by the "its not your fault your lazy and stupid" thinking that Obama has brought to our nation. Lets continue propping up the lazy morons, and dragging down the achievers.

Wow, what a different America this is from when I went to school. Our future is doomed.

"Principal Gets Bad Rap Over Sexy Music Videos" Hasn't this guy suffered enough? Gets bad rap? Well thanks for pointing out the obvious! Bad rap is what landed him a teaching job. See the irony? Bad Rap - teaching? It's a good thing he has principals!

THAT"s the problem with the Internet. Nothing ever goes away. That rant you posted on a bad day and those 10 yr old videos when from when you where hoping to bust into the big time. What matters is where he is as a person today. Something changed from rapper, to teacher, to principal. Let the past stay there!

He is the principal. These jobs have a lot of responsibility and headaches, much more than what you have suggested to be signed up!

If we condemned everyone we checked out on the internet and found out they did or tried drugs at an early stasge of their life, I guess past President Clinton and President Obama would be fired from their jobs. 80% of all singers have tried or are doing drugs. I guess we should put them all in jaiol so children would not be 'influenced' by them. How many doctors did drugs while in college? I guess we should not go to any doctor that tried drugs because they may not be any good today as doctors. Wake up people.. Life goes on and will never change no matter who complains.....................

Aspiring Rapper....lololol. That was then, this is now. He is 30 and still wet behind the ears. The school should ignore this and let it die a natural death as the cat is already out of the bag. Move on...
