Home Depot To Hire 80,000 Seasonal Workers This Year

Home Depot hiring spring seasonal

Home Depot Inc. said it will hire 10,000 additional seasonal workers for its key spring selling season as it sees higher sales growth during the period. The home-improvement retailer said it will hire 80,000 seasonal workers this year, 14 percent more than it hired last year.

Home improvement chains such as Home Depot and Lowe's Companies Inc., and retailers selling home goods and furnishings, see higher sales during the spring season as people start to rebuild their homes after the cold winter. The uptick in the U.S. housing market is also benefiting home improvement chains. The jobs include part-time and full-time positions.

If we do not come together and make a statemant then we have know room to talk. Go work @ the Dairy Queen then. I was just hired in part-time in the Kitchen & Bath Department, and I know without a doubt that if you work for the H.D, you will go know where with a negetive attitude. Now if you are hired in and develop an impecable work ethic you can not only move up to full-time and beyound but you put yourself in a position to change things people. Attitudes will get you know where, hard work, learning, alittle kiss ass once and a while never hurts, just do not over do it, if you can get your foot in that door by any means possible, there is know telling where you can be in a few years.

You make it sound like all these low wage part time jobs are a big deal. I still remember when the MSM and Libs were all up in arms about all of the low wage jobs under Bush. Go ahead and print your propergander, not everone drinks the Kool Aid.

when the part timers are "trained", watch out full timers. they have got to get all of their employees down to 30 hours a week to comply with obamma care.

Wow, what a revelation!! Home Depot is going to hire a bunch of summer, part-time, low paying jobs, and if the summer does not pan out as planned half will be gone by July. But hey, they make the news with BS like this. I think Dairy Queen is hiring this summer too, lets all rush down there for one of those good paying jobs.

At least there are free food perks at Dairy Queen. I have a friend who works for Home Depot and they don't even get an employee discount. It's one crap-tastic place to work.
