Target Hiring Fewer Seasonal Workers This Year

Target is a bunch of losers. Try returning a DVD sometime, they act like you made it in your basement. No thanks I'll go someplace else.

So this is why the unemployment is down, seasonal jobs for the masses, at low wage, wait till the holidays are over it will go back up to over 9%....the U6 doesnt lie, it was 14.1, 2 months ago and 14.1 last month, so the media posted 7.8 (which is a lie) the U6 never changed, thats the proof thet people need to know that the media is trying to push for the Emperor and its not going to work....

Haven't gone to a Target in 20 years.

Target is the original Grinch – Remember when they said they didn’t want Salvation Army Bell Ringers in front of their stores. I even heard a Target management type say the Target considered the Bell Ringers a liability problem. It doesn’t seem to be a problem with Wal-Mart or Kroger and even an independent grocery store where I live. And Wal-Mart around here sometimes has the American Legion in front cooking hot dogs for a donation and Wal-Mart gives them the Hot Dogs and the fixings. How about it Target, Oh I forgot Target donates from the corporate to groups – Let me translate – Target donates to Politically Correct Groups. So it may be Target don’t have the shoppers to need extra help.

Target and Autozone and Walmart seem to constantly be looking for people because of their poor relations with workers and the pay they're willing to give is the same. Plus, trying to get good help is almost impossible because no one wishes to work as hard as they want you to for the price they want to pay you. And, you're right Chutsper, if they hired that many people last year, how come it was still as difficult to find someone to help you out when you shop there? They must keep all the new hirees in the back room or something!

Why would they be any different over the holidays, there is NEVER anyone around to help the shopper, and those that are, are rare finds and unfortunately do not know the products all that well and cannot answer questions about the products........their customer service desks are another exercise in futility as they take forever (hoping you would give up and leave!)....their prices have gone up so much on products you can get at the dollar store and the quality sucks as well.................the kids clothes are good for one washing and they shrink or loose their shape and fade.........and their produce and food stuff, looks like the stuff the regular grocery stores have tossed, awful quality and outrageous prices........so them hiring more people or just enough people to be available to help their customers and be knowlegable about their pisspoor products would be asking too much It wasnt always this way, it USED to be a nice place to shop at reasonable prices especially kids toys around the holidays priced for those who did not have a lot of $ to spare..............

I worked for them until just recently. There employee relations is terrible The Target I worked forseems to have a 'revolving door'- hiring all the time as they can't keep employees because 'the powers that be' are terrible. People can't take all the petty drama and just walk out! Disgusting place to work for, I will never shop Target stores.
