Calif. Teacher Placed On Leave After Students Discover Her Porn Past

teacher administrative leave porn starA California middle-school science teacher who moonlighted as a porn actress has been placed on leave after administrators discovered that the videos could be seen by anyone online -- including her students.

The teacher, Stacie Halas, 31, was removed from her classroom at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard on Monday, according to the Smoking Gun (via Newser), three days after pupils at the school said they saw her in a series of X-rated clips.

"Maybe it's not a crime as far as the penal code is concerned, but we feel it's a crime as far as moral turpitude is concerned," said Jeff Chancer, superintendent of the Oxnard school district.

School administrators sent a note to parents Wednesday noting that teachers were discouraging students from searching for and visiting the inappropriate sites.

"We ask that you be particularly vigilant over the next few days with respect to the Internet content being accessed by your child on his or her telephone or other Internet-ready device," the letter read.

In the videos, the lithe blonde is seen performing numerous sex acts, as the Smoking Gun notes:

Halas can be seen in some of the videos engaging in a wide variety of sexual activity with a partner portraying a delivery man for "Big Sausage Pizza." Instead of accepting a tip from Halas, the delivery man opens the pizza box and -- Surprise! -- offers her a tip of his own.

Halas also stars in other explicit videos, the Smoking Gun website notes, using the stage name "Tiffany Six."

In December, a Boston-area high school English teacher was placed on paid leave after it was learned that he was featured in several pornographic movies. Kevin Hogan, aka Hytch Cawke, had starred in porn titles such as "Fetish World" and "Just Gone Gay 8," according to Boston TV station WFXT.

Hogan's previous career came to light following an investigation by the channel's news team.

Informed of his past, school officials at Mystic Valley Regional Charter School responded with a statement, saying that it had followed normal hiring practices in hiring Hogan. Those efforts included criminal background checks in Massachusetts and California, where he had been living.

Well, I suppose if parents made sure their kids weren't visiting porn sites no one would have ever known, but, hey, this is 21st century America, where the media raises the children (badly). Now that her secret life is no longer secret, she couldn't teach in that school again, in any case. She will have a hard time finding other teaching opportunities for awhile, I'm guessing.... good thing she has a backup career, huh?

Ridiculous! Absolutely ridiculous. I guess that EVERYONE has a clean past and has not ever done anything. I bet that teacher had opportunity to make more money doing adult content than she does as a teacher.

It is really sad that we are allowing the "morality" police to have any power at all.

Yeah I agree that its bad that the students saw the porn, but that means (judging on the info from this article) that they seeked out the information themselves. If the teacher told them that she was a porn star in the past then I could see why the school would do this (because that would provide incentive for some kids to seek out her videos). However, if the kids just did some sort of random search to find info about their teacher, then why do this to her? Honestly, if she didn't try to promote herself as a porn star to the students then there should be no issue. What students do on their own time is not the teacher's fault.

The past is the past. Many of us did stupid things when we were younger. Was she a good teacher? Did she try to molest anyone? There are teachers that were married and single that had sex with students. So what she did years ago was her business. Maybe parents shouild see what their children are looking for and watchinh on thier computers. If they happened to see a film of her they were searching for porn.
A background check showed that she was never arrested. What she did was stupid and was for adults only. perhaps you should sit down and talk to your children about watching and searching for porn sites.

Solution to get rid of illegal aliens... Give them 6 months amnesty to get out of the US. After the 6 month amnesty period, all illegal aliens and their children under 18 years of age caught in the US will have their vehicles, homes, cash and valuables confiscated and they will be deported and barred from seeking US citizenship for a period of 15 years., sending them home with what they came here illegally with....NOTHING ! All future documented workers will be bonded by the employers and they will be responsible for the housing and medical care for them. Their children will not become US citizens automatically. When they become legal age they can get in line behind everyone else waiting to become a US citizen. They will be fleeing the US in droves to keep from losing all their possessions and those that dont and have their possessions confiscated will go to help offset the costs of deporting them, Our soldiers have been sacrificing their lives for over 200 years for this country and not it is being overrun and destroyed by illegal aliens and our military and govrernment does nothing
