Court Clerk Pleads Guilty to Viewing Hardcore Porn During Rape Trial

London judge pornography trialYou won't end up in court for watching hardcore pornography. But you will if you were watching that hardcore pornography in court in the first place. That's what one court clerk discovered, after a judge saw him accessing the images in December 2010, during a rape trial in London Crown Court. The man had recently suffered a stroke, according to his defense, which had destroyed "his ability to tell right from wrong," reports the Daily Mail.

Debasish Majumber, 54, had been a court clerk for a number of years, and admitted to looking for porn once or twice a week, during the boring points in a trial, for the previous year. He would collect the names of sites he wanted to visit later on his home computer. Only the judge, he claimed, could possibly see him prowling the belly of web, and the text was too small for even him to see.

But it wasn't too small for Judge Nigel Seed. He noticed the explicit search list, and also spotted a pornographic image, reports the Daily Mail. Seed notified the resident judge. In the following investigation, police found a smutty search list in Majumber's internet history, as well as extreme pornographic images on his home computer, including simulations of child porn.

The prosecutor, Annabel Darlow, said that "it could not have been more clear that using court computers to access or research pornography would have been anything other than the clearest possible case of gross misconduct."

Majumber pled guilty to one charge of misconduct in public office and five counts of possession of indecent images. The sentencing is delayed until later this month, after the court receives further medical records. Majumber suffered a stroke eight months prior, according to his defense, Susannah Stevens. She believes this should have serious bearing on his sentence, since it "might explain the complete breakdown of his thought processes."

The public's tax dollars don't pay for any public servant to be engaged in personal activities while on the public's dime. For that, the clerk should be disciplined and perhaps laid off, without pay for a month or 90 days...

You punish people financially. It has more of an impact.

However, a court clerk is a trained professional and you don't want to lose that investment if it can be saved and redirected to the People's benefit.

As far as the home invasion by the court...that's just plain wrong. What people do in the privacy of their own homes...their own fantasies...as adults is the freedom of privacy and personal choice under the 4th Amendment in America.

The extreme religious police state would seek to destroy the Constitution and supplant it with narrow religious bigotry and Big Brother Religion...interfering not just in public policy as the extreme Theocratic Evangelical Activist religionists have engaged to do to overthrow the Constitution and force their religious bigotries upon society...

...but to slobber and slather at the bedroom windows and private affairs of the community to force their indoctrinated extremist mindset upon the society.

Theocrats like Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Michell Bachman, Sarah Palin, etc...

...all from the extreme right wing...

...continually seek to stick their noses even into the woman's private areas to try to dictate what their personal medical decisions and life choices are to be, according to their extreme religious bigotries.

The same is true of the theocrats who seek to deny consenting adults the right to love, engage, marry and have children as they choose.

It's time to stop the religious police state that the evangelical extremists are seeking to impose upon society, our schools, our public policies and our government.

If they are going to continue to interfere in such manner, then we need to put an end to the church welfare state and its ******* at the government teat...and those religions and churches interfering in public policy should be made to pay their fair share of infrastructure, energy, property and income taxes instead of being on the public dole.

Pitiful. I don't think they should have touched anything in his house. But I do think he needs to be fired, retire...something. He can't stay there, that's for sure.

His wrong was in looking at porn during work in court, why did they invade his home ? And since when is it illegal to have porn on your HOME COMPUTER ? It shouldn't be the "child porn" since they said it was "SIMULATED". If having "simulated child porn" is illegal, what about simulations where you kill someone ? Does that person get charged with murder ?? Things are getting way out of control these days. It's like when a school suspended a student for having A PICTURE of a gun in school ! That happened a couple years ago. What is next, just thinking about doing something will be illegal ???

If this behavior is truly from a 'stroke', then he should NOT be employed someplace where this behavior is deemed unfit. Should a librarian that developed Tourette's remain working in the library where silence is essential?? Should a radio announcer remain an announcer if cancer claimed their voicebox?? Honestly, if he's really doing this uncontrollably because of a stroke, maybe he should be on disability, or better yet, doing some job from home where he can't offend anyone.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE... WHEN SOMEONE IS RAPED IT IS NOT FOLLY FOR PERVERTS. IT IS AN ACTION THAT THAT STAY'S WITH THE VICTIM FOR LIFE. IT DESTORY'S THE VICTIMS LIFE, MARRIAGES, FAMILIES. IT SHOULD BE ONE OF THE JUSTIFIABLE REASONS FOR HOMICIDE.

And you probably would have joined in watching with him. I sincerely hope you don't know any women. By the way, men can be raped, too. If you had been the victim, how would you have liked it if the clerk was watching porn then?
