Police Officers' Photos With Scantily Clad Women Trigger Investigation

Modesto police officers racy photos on the job

Images of police officers posed with scantily clad women have triggered an investigation in Modesto, Calif., after the racy photos were sent to its police department, City Hall and news media earlier this week.

The photos show two uniformed Modesto police officers along with several woman wearing revealing clothing. Seven of the photos are of one officer along with several women in various poses, including atop a patrol car and handling handcuffs that are possibly those issued him by the department, WTSP-TV reports.

In two other images, a current member of the force, Yair Oaxaca, is shown. The photo featuring Oaxaca, an eight-year veteran of the force, aren't considered scandalous by the department, but will still be investigated to determine if any policies or procedures were violated, according to the TV station.

In a written statement Wednesday, the police department said that it believes the photos are more than two years old and taken in Modesto's downtown entertainment district.

The department is undertaking an internal investigation but said that the officer in the first set of photos -- considered more egregious than those featuring Oaxaca -- is no longer with force, having left in February 2010.

If the officer were still employed by the department, the press release said, the officer would "be facing severe discipline."

Police Chief Michael Harden said the incident has put a blemish on the department, but the "behavior does not represent the hard work and commitment from the men and women of this organization."

Who It Be

This happened for a company near us. The Manager treated his workers who he considered had done a good job with a visit on the jobsite by barely clothed women. Our Manager told us it didn't happen!! Which was after the pictures had circulated around the company via email. They fired the man who first emailed the pictures, while all the while the Managers were still saying it didn't happen. One woman filed a sex harrassment suit because she had received the pictures and a second woman who also received the pictures but told the manager that it did happen was retired and the woman who filed the sex harrassment took her place. To lie goes not only against our Ten Commandments but it should never be upheld in a large company such as Williams.

I dont see the problem. Seems to me that the news trying to make a story out of nothing. If the Police Dept decides they did something wrong then let them discipline the officers. However to throw it up on the news to embarrass the officers and the girls is going a little to far.

Why would you endanger this police officers life by exposing his first name like this? Cop haters are the exception rather than the rule. And since when is it against the law to take pictures with women? This article is a joke right? You're really digging deep.
