State Unemployment Rates In August, At A Glance

state unemployment rates August 2011Unemployment rates rose in a majority of states in August for a third straight month. The Labor Department said Friday that unemployment rates increased in 26 states, fell in 12 and remained unchanged in 12. Here's a look at state unemployment rates:
