The higher the unemployment rate, the worse this is getting. Managers make comments to employees like, "if you don't like it here there are 100 people lined up at the door that want your job so just shut up or quit". Employees would like it there, if they weren't so disrespected by this insane manager. They feel trapped and forced to just take it. They guy laid off almost all the warehouse people in shipping and receiving. Then made all of us, outside sales representatives, report into the office by 3:30 every afternoon, change into work clothes and start pulling orders, loading trucks and receiving and stocking shelfs. Problem was that this didn't go till 5 o'clock. It went until late into the night-many times until 8:30 or 9. And we got paid nothing for this required overtime. Not a cent. That is because labor laws don't protect salaried/commissioned sales people be paid overtime, so if you get a jerk like this guy he can abuse you until you finally quit. This overtime went on from August to mid-December of 2008. With more being unemployed today than in 2008, I can't imagine how this guy is treating his people. And to really make it unfair, he has been promoted to Eastern Regional Manager of the same large nationwide corporation. Will upper management ever wake up to see how people are being treated. Wish there was a Union for white collar workers!!
