Cop Allegedly Opens Brothel, Busts Competition [Video]

Opens Brothel When a couple of men who had worked together as law enforcement officers in the San Francisco Bay area's Contra Costa County were accused of stealing drugs from evidence lockers for sale on the streets, all hell broke loose. Now one is accusing the other of starting a brothel in a massage parlor, protecting it from legal prosecution, and closing down its competitors.

Former state narcotics agent Norman Wielsch, 50, who has since resigned from the force, has pleaded not guilty to all charges, both drug-related and prostitution-related, based on evidence provided by Christopher Butler, 49, a former colleague who is also no longer with the force and is now working as a private investigator.

Butler claims that Wielsch learned so much about the prostitution businesses from busting those on his beat that he decided to start one of his own. He says that Wielsch asked him to lease a specific space for a "massage parlor," and hired an Oakland woman, whom he'd previously arrested for prostitution, to run the place. Butler alleges tha he regularly collected money from her, and gave it to Wielsch.

Although neighbors complained and police were sent out, no charges were ever filed against anyone associated with the business, but plenty of other houses of prostitution in the area were busted, and their workers charged.

Wielsch's attorney, Michael Cardoza, told The Chronicle that his client is innocent, and that Butler is telling wild stories in an effort to make a deal or reduce his own sentence.

"Butler is spinning tales to save himself," Cardoza said. "He'd rat out his mother and father if he had to."

"Imagine,"by John Lennon, No morals, No Values, No Religion, No Respect for Human Lives! Honestly, how many moral, honest politicians do you know? "Blue Wall of Silence," unless they're going to be implemented in corruption, or that "their backs are up against the wall," do they report illegal actions by fellow officers! Surprised that "pimps" weren't reporting this, as they're losing money, and internal affairs in that area weren't investigating the actions of these officers before they were able to receive their pensions!

It is sad to hear this political correct post. PSST, come back to reality… crap happens in every profession an there is no exemptions because a profession is public servant.

Please get over yourselves and get a life, pull your lips off their butts and be real. You do not have to be afraid and if someone going to rough you up or kill you...they will do it regardless of your lips kissing their butts.

There are people who need a little more or thinks the job owes them more and takes advantage of the information on the job.

They create better advantage careers and an opportunity for themselves.Who blames them? Everyone is getting screw today except those who lives in that big place on Washington blvd or drive...see I do not know where the building is...That is a good thing....

It is the America Dream ...to get a piece of the pie legal or illegal ...Opportunist....

They have a better chance of succeeding than those who are law-abiding citizens….

Oh hell they are human too…their pension was reduce to 50% and they deserve 100% and I would do the same as they are if I was a police officer. emm, maybe not...I am a female ..a Male Brothel...yes that would be orginal..do you think that would fly? Almost like the Chipping Dales...Wahoooo..show those buns...yahoo. Sorry, I was getting excitted having a male brothel.

Most of the law enforcement are military vets.

If you do not have the memo…I will be glad to post it for you.

@Pete, You obviously don't know this area of the Bay Area. You are blowing air out of both sides of your mouth. Your comment indicates you are following the politcal lemmings to continue to polarize this country politically with out insight into what your actions are doing. FYI Contra Costa County has the strongest Tea Party group in the Bay Area. Does this mean they are supporting this brothel? NO NOT AT ALL I'm saying is this incident has NOTHING to do with party politics, especially ignorant comments as yours.

I know many fine polie and I alsoknew one, a close family friend, who got into n argument with another man while in a illegal gambling hall. He left the hall deflated his opponent's truck tires walked several blocks home obtained his service revolver and then waited in the parking lot for the man to go home. Here he shot and killed his oponent. After a long bunch of cort delays and postponents he somehow was released scot free of any crimes. Go tell why. This all happened in a small town of approimately 5000 people in Missouri.

Cardoza said. "He'd rat out his mother and father if he had to."

hmmm that sounds more like a complaint of a criminal about an informant, than a lawyer protesting his client's innocence. What "Mob" does this lawyer, Cardoza, work for that he would even think to say this???? Cardoza's statement convinces me the informant is being truthful and this is a crooked cop.
Most cops are fine, upstanding, honest people working to help us, but there are some that simply see the police department as a good place for a crook to work his mischief while remaining shielded. This one has now found, I hope, that he is not going to be shielded by good cops! They don't want crooks in their department because it gives them all a bad name.
