Now Hiring: Newk's Cafes
They may not be hiring thousands like they are at McDonald's, but the rapidly growing food chain known as Newk's Express Cafe has recently awarded 24 new franchise locations, mostly in the South. New restaurants will soon be opening in Florida, Louisiana, Virginia, Atlanta and Michigan. That means that hundreds of jobs in these areas will be available soon.
Newk's Express Cafe "provides an express casual dining experience and features a variety of made-to-order choices." Several steps above fast food, they serve salads, oven-baked sandwiches, California-style pizzas, made-from-scratch soups and homemade cakes. The chain was created by the same people behind McAlister's Deli, who pioneered the fast-casual restaurant concept.
To be specific, there will be five new Newk's restaurants in Jacksonville and St. Augustine, four locations in Baton Rouge and Lafayette and five additional restaurants in Michigan. There will also be another in Bossier City, La. and five more in Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Lynchburg and Blacksburg/Christiansburg, Va. Then there at least five that will be up soon in the Atlanta area, starting with Buckhead, Midtown Peachtree City/Newnan and Augusta.
There are already locations in Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, Mississippi, Florida and Louisiana, with a number of job openings currently listed. You can find out more about jobs at Newk's on their company website.
