Jobs You Can Start Today

start today jobs It's another month, another rent check to write and now you have a dental bill that's bigger than you expected. Maybe you're a student or a parent who has been staying home and out of the work force, but you now really need to get working. What is a job that you can start right now?

Online salary and career site has come up with a list of jobs that require little, if any, previous experience and do not require a bachelor's degree, special skills or vocational training. Your chances at getting these jobs may be helped with more skills, experience and education, but the right employer could hire you without them. Most of these jobs require on-the-job training, but at least you're getting paid while you learn.

Here we feature the five highest-paid gigs on PayScale's list of jobs you can start today. Below that is the full list of job titles, as well as their median pay for the first five years on the job and what the most common level of education is for each.

1. Account executive

Median annual salary: $46,000

Account executives exist in almost every industry and the job varies greatly depending on what company you're working for. In essence, you're in charge of maintaining the relationship between your company and its clients. You could work in advertising, for a medical devices company, a beverage distributor or a machine parts company. Whatever a company sells to a client, they need that client relationship to be nurtured and improved at all times.

2. Sales consultant, automobile/cars

Median annual salary: $38,000

Can you get someone to fall in love with a car enough to buy it? If you're a natural at the listening, questioning and (not-always-so-gentle) encouragement required to be a successful salesperson, there are likely opportunities for you in the car sales business. Your hours may be heavy on weekends and evenings -- but, if you are successful, your pay could grow quickly.

3. Manufacturing Technician

Median annual salary: $36,000

As a manufacturing technician, your job is, typically, to assemble a product of some kind. You could be soldering wires together under a microscope or fitting all the components of a radio into the external case. Your job includes making sure that your tools are functioning and are calibrated properly. Safety and a team focus are also essential.

4. Office manager

Median annual salary: $34,000

You sit in the middle of the storm of office activity and help make sure that everyone is able to get their work done. From making travel arrangements to restocking the printer with paper, the office manager must cover a variety of tasks. You may do billing work and handle customer service requests. The possibilities are almost endless. Your job description will depend on which office you work for. Being flexible, responsive and decisive are great qualities to have for this job.

5. Cable television installer

Median annual salary: $31,000

As an installer, you go into people's homes and connect their cable system to one or more television sets or computers for high-speed Internet. You have to be good at troubleshooting and comfortable explaining to subscribers how to operate their cable system. As your skills grow, you can get into other technical jobs in the telecommunications industry, which changes quickly as new technologies become available.

The polarization of these comments continue to amaze me--Teachers and Govt Workers screaming and beating bucket like drums emulating bloody fools, State Democratic Senators fleeing their responsibilities and posing as opposed to rendering their vote. When are we, the voting public without a specail interest, going to demand compliance with the oath of office. When are the screamers going to recognize they are no longer special and that the states and country are financially broke and when are we going to commend and support those who wish to stop this tom foolery spending; thus providing a tomorrow for our children and their children. Special interest legislation at both federal and state levels inclusive of municipal govt. will be the demise of our system. Simply said folks, we can no longer afford it.

From what I have experienced in watching the Obama administration, being the president doesn't require any experience either. Just appoint more government workers to do YOUR job, know how to run a printer to print more money, occasionally, put on a clean shirt and tie for photo ops and think up more ways to spend the us taxpayer's money.

You can be the president of the United States without any experience. Look at Barak Obama! He was a "community Organizer."- LOL.After this guy, I would think that any kind of "organizer" can run for president- even a closet organizer.

If you watch the news you probably know most of the members of congress like John Boehner are now not just millionaires but MULTI-MILLIONAIRES. We’re talking like 40, 50, 100, 200 or more million in savings and assets. At the same time tens of millions of Americans were and are losing their jobs, savings, homes and have slid into poverty.

This just proves that our country is being run the Goddamn filthy rich, who’s friends and family are also all filthy stinking rich. So of course all they care about is the filthy rich. That’s why every move our government leaders make, every breath they take, is to benefit the Goddamn filthy rich NOT the people that elected them and pay their salaries, the tax payer.

Most of theses MULTI-MILLIONAIRES started off wealthy but after all the bribes, kickbacks and payoffs they received for selling out the people they work for (us), they were able to amass millions. While they did nothing but trade favors for bribes, millions of Americans lost their jobs, homes, savings and ended up on the streets.

This also proves only the rich have any chance of getting elected to these high level government positions. Some people say “well you elected them or we elected them” Well what choices do we have. They all lie, they’re all rich, all their friends and family are rich. Let’s see someone non-rich get elected. There’s no way . The filthy Goddamn rich would never let that happen. If you don’t play their help the rich and piss on the working class and poor than get lost. If someone that’s cares about the people tries to run the rich will crush them and have many times.

The fact is the only way to save this country is a massive revolt. Try and hang every member of all three branches of our government. Replace them with non-rich American’s that will be fair to everyone not just the filthy Goddamn rich like it is now.

And what’s really sickening is while they are all becoming millionaires and multi-millionaires, tens of millions of Americans are becoming homeless and dying in the streets. Anyone that thinks that's cool or fair has their Goddamn head up their Goddamn ass and in nothing but a hunk of fucking human waist.

I notice when looking for work on line almost all make you go to a website and register before applying. Why not just send the resume and cover letter? Because most of the time the job doesn't really exist, they just want your info and email to send you junk mail and other marketing offers or to get you sign up for a trade school. You end up wasting 15 to 30 minutes filling out the registration for nothing.

If we didn't have the most Goddamn rotten corrupt government on the planet, they would not be able to get away this crap. Goddamn our government is nothing but shit !!!

Looking at the extended list, a bank teller ties in with a Bachelor's Degree? I can prove that's a laugh - I worked for 8 1/2 years as one and only have an Associate degree in another field. Where does this person get their info, the latest box of Cheerios???

Yes, we have been in a recession since mid 2007 and now entering the second great depression, which will be much worse than the 1930’s because the cost of living is twenty times higher.

..Massive job losses everywhere, crime on the rise
..Over 30% foreclosure rate on homes in California and Miami
..Over 50% foreclosure rate on homes in Arizona and Nevada
..Food, utilities, taxes, medical expenses prices on everything skyrocketing
..Almost half the country is on food stamps and/ or welfare

Our government leaders knew along time ago if they continued to help Big Business to outsource our jobs along with turning a blind eye to the banks recklessly giving unsecured loans to anyone no matter what their financial situation was that eventually the economy would collapse. Since their jobs are secure no matter what happens, they didn’t give a Goddamn.

Matter of fact our government leaders think it’s all a big joke. They know their enormous pay and million dollar pensions are guaranteed no matter how bad the economy gets. 25%. 35%. 50% unemployment our government doesn’t care. And instead of controlling inflation, They kick back and do nothing as prices skyrocket ( Food, Utilities, Healthcare, Etc) All they do is laugh and vote themselves BIG pay raises instead of dealing with the problem. And to make up for the lost revenue they continue to borrow billions from countries like China which will soon bankrupt our nation.

Our evil corrupt government traded our jobs for favors like campaign contributions (bribes and kickbacks) from all the million / billion dollar companies, banks and corporations. Some people think just because they haven’t lost their job to outsourcing (yet) that it doesn’t affect them. They are so wrong. Not only does the dollar become devalued but what happens when a friend or family member loses their job to outsourcing and can’t support their family. Soon the only way people will able to survive is to steal once the rest of the jobs are gone.

Over seventy-five percent of our Industries have now been lost to foreign countries. Over twenty percent of our domestic jobs are now taken by Illegal Aliens. Almost all credit, financial, and health records of Americans have crossed over at least once to other countries via off-shoring. You don’t find out about it until your identity is stolen. The government says too bad it’s your problem. The government says” So your job gets outsourced or given to an illegal alien, your identity gets stolen and your credit and life is destroyed, a small price to pay to help the filthy rich

If our government would at least regulate the outsourcing, healthcare and energy prices then maybe we could reverse the destruction of our economy but they won't. Instead they have done the opposite giving tax breaks to companies that outsource our jobs overseas and to Mexico. It's simply because we have the most lazy, evil, corrupt, worthless government in the world run by sacks of human waist.

Not true. I've never had a degree, but have had six figure a year jobs (manufacturer's rep, real estate, etc.) most of my adult life, and usually with little to no prior experience. My best friend also has no degree at all and she makes over $100k per year as an account manager with an insurance agency. It can be done. Never say never.
