Hi Barbara,

Resumes should be geared towards the field of work for which they are submitted. The administrative assistant is a person who handles all the administrative duties in any organization. Administrative assistant resumes shows how you can emphasize your office skills and proven success in administrative roles.

As a semi-retired Career Consultant, I find this Resume misses the point for the experienced Executive Administrative Assistant / Secretary who is looking for a job due to down sizing in major industries where whole departments have been and are being illiminated. In particular, there are those who are highly rated and were ten years from retirement or in their mid fifeties and must continue to work. How does an experienced individual promote the value of that experience with the wealth of knowledge gained through that experience in a job seeking effort even if they are willing to start at a fifeteen to twenty percent reduction in salary in order to remain competitive? Have you heard the factual account of one CEO bragging that he can hire Foriegn Nationals with superior Degrees at thirty-five to fifty percent lower rates than in the US? And they all still want to come here (US) despite the depression.
All he has to do is prove that they have a job waiting for them here so that they can get a Visa. Thinking positive by an individual out of work under these current conditions cannot over come that kind of negative thinking by a US CEO. Please provide more realistic resumes in keeping with the times and conditions of today's reality. Thank you.
