What my career and my driveway have in common

A few weeks ago we had a pretty good storm that left a few inches of snow on my driveway. So far this year I've been good about shoveling the snow right away, but for some reason I didn't get to it this time.

Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, except the next couple of weeks were extremely cold. Because I didn't shovel on that first day I ended up with a thick sheet of ice on my driveway.

It's a lot easier to shovel fresh snow than it is to chip away at an ice sheet.
