You have to play up that you have the most up-to-date technological information just out of school or just newly certified. Throw in something about being earger, ready to chomp on the bit, can't wait to get started and you might have better luck. Just give me 30 days, I'll take it on a contract basis, same hourly rate. If it works out fine if not sorry, but I honestly believe I can do this job better than you expect. I intend to surprise you and I might even surprise myself.
