Employers need to stop being so picky. I mean, come on, why would someone need good credit to drive a medical transport vehicle? Or why would being out of work for more than 2 months matter when trying to get hired on at a borrito shop? I went to school for medical billing and coding. Got a certification (which expired) and worked in a doctor's office for more than 3 years. I've been away from the field for about 3 yrs now because I do not have that little certification. What employer's need to do it require that a new hire get a certification with-in a certain time frame after being hired. Give new hires 3 months to a year, depending on what's needed.
